The FGSC Winter series got under way on Sunday 3rd November.
Although it was almost called off because of the weather the wind eased and racing went ahead, with 8 boats out braving the rain.
By week 2 the weather had changed once again.
The start was delayed so that sailors could attend the remembrance service. Then it was a quick dash to get to the start line for the start.
Weather was N2/3 in the river. (10knts) and a lovely sunny morning with a running start.
The Taser rounded the mark first with the laser at his stern, quickly followed by the rest of the fleet.
Three Fusions enjoyed a very tight race with David giving up the lead when capsizing. Leaving the other two fusions to finish within half a boat length of each other.
There were seven boats in total and they all finished very close together.
Special thanks goes to this weeks safety boat crew Mike and Andrew.
